“Just like it says in 1 Corinthians, some people planted seeds, others watered them but God was causing the growth”, said Christian author Jennifer Sands.
In a 2009 interview on a Canadian TV show entitled “100 Huntley Street”, Jennifer Sands made an appearance to discuss her book entitled “A Treasured Faith”, which focuses on her divine transformation from an angered widow to a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.
On the tragic day of September 11, 2001, Jennifer Sands’s husband Jim Sands was killed in World Trade Center. While bring together for 5 years as a married couple, Sands became very angry with the events of 9/11 and even God.
But I know a God that will never fail you nor will he forsake you. That’s exactly what He did for Jennifer.
God plays his many roles in Jennifer’s life through introducing many redeemers in her life to see that there is salvation in suffering and we can give it all to Jesus Christ.
Further in the interview, Jennifer mentions a memorial that the Grand Cayman government implanted in their waters in remembrance of her husband. While in the water, Jennifer Sands was renewed to follow Jesus. She is now a faithful servant of Jesus Christ who writes inspirational books about being more spiritually knowledgeable of God and speaking her testimony around the world to inspire others to follow Jesus Christ.
I believe that her life story resembles the story of Ruth, in terms of Naomi. Naomi felt God was against her due to the absence of her husband and sons, but He was showing her who He is in her life. God wants us to know Him! He is the “I AM THAT I AM”, which means it all shall come to pass. Glory be to God!
God wants us to know that it is only but a light thing. He will deliver you from grief, anxiety, depression, and even unfaithfulness in Him. He will show you the Light, the Word, and the Truth – Jesus Christ and fill you with the Spirit to know him and take the suffering from you. He did it for Naomi. He did it for Ruth. He did it for Jennifer. ….
And He will do it for you!
Long story short, I believe that the book of Ruth is hope for widows, but it is also hope for all of us to be redeemed by the workings of the Lord. Rejoice in His glory and praise His name. For he is worthy!
